Last month the SKCHRA board had to decide which scholarship application would be the winner. Two very strong candidates had good essays. The board was in a quandary. Who should we cast our vote for?

Trevor Watt, who was awarded the 2009-2010 scholarship, sent in his new resume and essay. Trevor is studying business with a minor in human resource management. Trevor attends Washington State University.

Renee Winkle is the Human Resources Manager for Orion Industries in Federal Way. Renee plans on attending Highline Community College in the fall and after achieving her AA degree will move on to her bachelors.

Two strong candidates, two very good essays. What did the board decide? We motioned to award TWO scholarships and unanimously voted for both Trevor and Renee.

Both Renee and Trevor attended the June chapter meeting and were presented with certificates.
